The NC Eval Process

NC SLMC Evals focus on five general areas:

  1. Leadership

  2. Creation of learning environments

  3. Implementing a current program

  4. Promote effective instruction

  5. Reflect on practice

In each of these general areas, you can be 'graded' into four different ranks of effectivity:

  • Developing - Don't stop working on your effectivity. this is the LOWEST rank. Basically, you're scoring 25%.

  • Proficient - Performing admirably.  You're hitting the target, but you aren't standing out of the crowd. You're halfway there! (50%).

  • Accomplished - Awesome work! You're better than most, and you show others how to get it done. You've got a little room for improvement, though. (75%).

  • Distinguished - Doing everything you need to be doing! You're scoring a perfect score (100%).

There is also a rank of "Not Demonstrated", but this means that there was no observable inclusion of the standards. Don't take a zero for this, though ... argue for your appropriate grade with evidence!
